Wii Bundle: Smart Move?

Recently I was trying to decide whether or not to get a Wii bundle. I knew for a fact that I wanted a Wii, but was not sure if one the bundled versions would be in my best interest so I decided to do some research.
Well, it was not too difficult to reach my decision. The Wii bundle is definitely the way to go. If you want you can get one of the smaller non bundled systems but you are going to end up spending more in the long term so it is better to just get it done up front.

Why Go With the Wii Bundle?

There is nothing that is included with the bundle that you will not use. A typical bundle goes for around six hundred and seventy five dollars. While this sound like a lot of money, and it is, let us take a look at what you are getting. First off you get everything that you would with the core system, the game console and one controller. In addition you get an additional controller, needed because playing the Wii by yourself is no fun. This game system was designed to be a group activity and for that to happen you will need multiple controllers.

The typical bundle also comes with six games of your choice. That is right, six games. Now you can say that you just want to get a Wii to play this game or that game, but face it you will be buying more games and it is just better to have those games up front. Friends can come over and have a choice as to what to be able to play as well as participate with the extra controller. If you were to purchase all of these components individually you would be looking at an investment of over one thousand dollars, so yes you are spending a lot of money but you are saving over three hundred as well.

The games with the bundles are in general completely selectable by you and offer a wide variety of choices. The one bundle I would not buy is one that forces you to get games that the bundle maker chooses. Usually this Wii bundle is simply trying to move out stock on games that have not sold, so be sure to find a Wii bundle that you can choose the games you want for.
Look around as many of the major retail outlets offer different Wii bundles at different prices. Find the one the best meets your budget and make sure that all the games in the Wii bundle will be ones that you will play.

Wii Virtual Console Games

The Wii Virtual Console is an online store that allows Wii users to download and play old Nintendo favorites on their brand new Nintendo Wiis. There is a large collection of Wii Virtual Console games available and for some kids these exciting and challenging games probably have never been played before.

Best of the Best for Wii Virtual Console Games:

Looking over the vast amount of titles available thorough the Wii Virtual Consules games that stick out can be tough to find. Currently there are two hundred and six titles available in North America. After going through all of them, I have highlighted my two favorite Wii Virtual Console games.

First up is Legend of Zelda

This classic still offers gamers of today a strong challenge as the mental puzzles and in depth story are not something that is focused on in today’s games. Most games in the role playing genre focus on graphics and character development with little attention to the actual story. In this game you are Link, no choices in your character so you are limited in this regard. Graphics were cutting edge at release, now most advertisements on the web boast better and more intense graphics. Without those two crutches of the modern game, Zelda takes problem solving and plot to a whole different level. Players unfamiliar with this game will find hours and hours of enjoyment, and those that are familiar will have endless fun reliving their past. Definitely a must get in the selection of Wii Virtual Console games.

Next up is Mario Cart 64

This game is the polar opposite of Legend of Zelda. It does not have complex problems or an intricate story line, but rather brings exceedingly fun and addictive game play to the table. Race against the computer or your friends as either Mario or one of his friends or enemies on made up crazy race courses set in the Super Mario Brothers universe. Donkey Kong, Bowser and the Princess are all available as playable characters and each has their own unique power up and weapons to combat the other racers. Endless hours of racing fun and competition with your friends are the strengths of this game.

So there you have it, two games from the past available through the Wii Virtual Console games section that can bring you hours of fun and enjoyment. Do not hesitate to go out and get these two titles and find out what gamers from the past spent hours and hours doing.
